SCHOLARSHIPS

FAMO in Písek is a private school, therefore it does not offer any type of scholarships. Students can however apply for the state granted accommodation scholarship (2, 000 – 2, 500 CZK per semester). Applications to Certificate Film Course beginning in February 2020 close on the 31st of October. 

Applications to Diploma, Bachelor and Master degree study programs, beginning in September 2020 close on the 30.04.2020.  Entrance exams will be held between the 4 - 06.05.2020, and 11 - 13.05.2020.

Prior to formal acceptance

  • Applicants must participate in a Skpe, or similar, video conference call, to ascertain that the applicant's English language level is at the required B2 level. This conversation will be held with an English native speaker.
  • Before a formal confirmation to studies document can be issued by the school a deposit amounting to 50% of the first semester tuition fee installment must be paid. This is necessary to establish the sincersity of the application and satisfy the relevant state authorities. 
  • After this deposit has been received by the school, and the applicant's adequate language skills have been established, the school will issue a formal Confirmation of Studies document as well as assist (where necessary) in finding short-term accomodation for the applicant in Pisek (along with the formal Confirmation of Accomodation notice). Both of these documents are requirements in any student visa application.

My name is Ricardo Buenrostro. I am a Mexican student in FAMO’s English language, international study program. My studies in the audio-visual field began during high-school while I was still living in Mexico studying Visual Communication and Design. I then continued in this area while studying in Turkey for 3 semesters. I am currently in my second year of my Bachelor of Arts Degree studies in Pisek, specializing in Cinematography with the expectation of becoming a good visual story teller.
