Jan Mika's 'We're Human After All' continues its winning streak
FAMO graduate, Jan Mika's short animated film "We're Human After All", which ingeniously incorporates different animation and filming techniques, appears unstoppable. To add to the film's list of recent local and international success, it was recently awarded the Audience Award at the festival Premiers Plans d'Angers, 2017, in France.

The 5th of April, 2018 will hail the premier of the feature film "To the Wind" by FAMO graduate, Sofia Sustak. FAMO graduate - Jan Pivoňka - also participated in the film as cameraman.

PLATINUM REMI AWARD GOES TO "FIRST SNOW" IN U.S.
At the jubilee 50th WorldFest-Houston, which took place from 21 to 30 April 2017 in the US state of Texas, the animated film First Snow, by our graduate Lenka Ivančíková, received the PLATINUM Remi Award in the "Student Film" category.

OUR STUDENTS AT THE VISEGRAD FILM FORUM
Students Filip Oberfalcer and Aleš Koutenský attended the Visegrad Film Forum in Bratislava, where they represented our school and introduced their films HEREC (directed by: F.Oberfalcer) and BENNY - short film (directed by M.Hruška). They discussed with the audience the differences between film schools and student productions.

The Czech Television´s show "Klíč" will introduce you the student of FAMO in Pisek - Kateřina Morozová. She was born with a rare condition which prevented her from moving. She controls all only by the mouth. Yet she dared to study to become the cutter and now awaits her final bachelor exam.
