The Film Academy of Miroslav Ondricek (FAMO) is a distinguished university operating in two of the Czech Republic‘s most attractive locations:  the capital city, Prague, and the historic town of Písek, found a short distance to the south. The school’s principal campus is located in Pisek, a town whose traditional beauty and stunning scenary continues to lure filmmakers. FAMO‘s Prague campus is located in the TWIN STAR FILM building, co-owned by the world-famous director, screenwriter, producer, actor, adventurer and diver (he was the first person to dive with a Great White Shark, without a cage!) - Steve Loveček Lichtag. Steve and his colleagues also teach at the school, so be sure to ask him about his Great White experiences later. This campus is close to the Barrandov Studios (the largest film studios in the country, and a hub for foreign and local film productions) where TV NOVA, the country’s leading television station, is based. FAMO cooperates closely with NOVA and our students regularly participate in work placements there.
