Lukáš Vacula’s SAA 🏆 finalist film, Death Lives ☠️, is the second student film in the same number of years to come out of Písek and battle it out amongst the cream of international student films at the Student Academy Awards🍒- this year amongst over 3000 student films from across the globe!
Death Lives follows the lives of five strangers brought together in an Austro-Hungarian prison, all different but driven by the same goal – to reach freedom.
As our little (known) school SVOŠF heads towards its 30th birthday 🎂 we couldn’t think of a finer way to celebrate the incredible and creative efforts of our students and talented teaching staff 🥳🎈🍾.
For those of you who don’t already know, we’re actually two schools operating on the same campus. Before FAMO received university accreditation in 2004, its predecessor institution SVOŠF had been established in 1996 as a film specific technical further education institution. Both schools continue to run 🏃♂️ and the student films of both schools continue to reach the highest peaks 🏔️of international student film.
Once again, a round of applause to our students and all those involved in the creation of Death Lives 👌👏.
