FAMO representatives travelled to New York to present the work of Pisek’s film schools at the famed Bohemian National Hall on Manhattan’s upper east side in cooperation with the Czech Center New York.

Despite the blistering cold, ice and snow ❄️members of the New York public filled the cinema to enjoy 5 of our short narrative student films. We were honored to welcome special guests including the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York, and (screen)writer Martina Forman, wife of the late Czech film legend Milos Forman, who directed such films as One Few Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, starring Jack Nicholson, for which he was awarded (not only) an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Bafta for his directing work.

The full cinema, laughter, applause and positive feedback confirmed, once again, the good and hard work put in by both our students and staff, and we look forward to our next opportunity to present our films in the Big 🍏.
