We’re still mind-blown 🤯 that our students (now graduates) Pavel Sýkora a Viktor Horák were awarded with a STUDENT ACADEMY AWARD (OSCAR)🏆🥳 for their film The Compatriot.
Of the 2683 films submitted to the competition, from 738 universities, The Compatriot came out on top 🎩. What an achievement for our students and graduates 👏 and verification of our good work at FAMO!
The Compatriot is set on a Winter’s New Year’s Eve of 1944, and follows the tense encounter between a member of the feared German SS and a grieving widower. Take a look at the trailer for yourselves and come and see the full film at our FAMOZNI festival in early October!
