Sound Engineer

Viktor Prášil began studying at the Miroslav Ondříček Film Academy in Písek in 2007. He graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sound Production.

He started working in the film industry while he was studying at school in 2009. From this year forward, he actively participated in many professional shoots and post-production of sound.

  • In 2015, he worked as a sound engineer in the filming of the HBO TV series “Manom”.
  • In 2016, he worked on the film “Polednice”, for which he was nominated for the bestsound at the Czech Lion Awards.
  • In 2017, he did sound mixing on another film “Po strništi bos”, where he was able to workwith famous Czech director, Jan Svěrák. Additionally, he worked in the mini-TV series “Dukla 61”.
  • In 2018, he worked on the film “Zlatý Podraz”, which was nominated for a Czech Lion Award, and he also worked on the HBO TV series “Therapy”.
  • In 2019, his sound mixing work on the film “Painted Birds” was nominated and won the Czech Lion for best sound.
  • In 2020, he got to work with Netflix on the TV series “Letter to the King”. He also worked on a film called “Havel”, which received a best sound nomination that year.
  • In 2021, he worked on Netflix’s “Army of the Dead” and “Medieval” films.
  • In 2022, he was nominated for an Academy Award for Sound on “Quiet on the Western Front”.
